Website Update

After The Gathering 2009 in July at Holyrood, Edinburgh, it was felt by some Clansfolk, that we should have a more interactive area of our present website and although we do have a Forum and a Image Gallery, which will remain, they are not connected for ease of use and lack certain features.

The new Clan Duncan Worldwide Network, will give an excellent feature rich platform for all Clansmen/Clanswomen, Clan Duncan Society Members and supporters of the Clan to easily interact with each other.

The Network will be 'stand alone', however it will be linked from our present website, our Facebook page, and our entry in Wikipedia. As the Network grows, we would encourage members of the network to spread the word and link, where possible, back to the site.

Regards

John Duncan of Sketraw, KCN, FSA Scot.

ancestory

So far I have my ancestry line matched to one in the dna project with Emmett Duncan. Well I think I have it back to the 1600's. Have to see how much further back I can get. I want to rock the kilt state side! :) Anyone that might have a line from Emmett or can help out a little message me.

Family History

I am trying to find  my family on my maternal grandfathers side.  I have found David "Devil" Duncan born in 1774 in South Carolina, Married to Nancy Ligon born 1780 also of South Carolina.  Both died in Tennessee.  David's father was William Duncan born 1752 of Strathblane, Sterlingshire, Scotland, died in Tennessee, and married to Mary Crockett, no further info.  William's father was James Duncan of North Leigh, Scotland born 7-9-1714 and married to Margaret Taylor born 1718 at Strathblane,…See More
